From Behind the Lens

Lord willing, next week I'll finish up the Summer Modesty Series. I thought I should post a little something different for the weekend. I don't post my own photography very often and today I thought I would share a little.

(click the link to listen to "Simple Praise")
“Simple Praise”by Pamela Martin & Craig Courtney
For a canvas of colors, for a concert of sound; for the unfolding seasons, the earth spinning round.
For the birth of each sunrise, for the sky set ablaze; for these simple gifts, we give simple praise.
Simple praise for the Giver, and thanks to the One who has given us breath and given His Son.
To the Giver of blessings for all of our days, for these simple gifts, we give simple praise.
For the love of a mother, for the touch of a hand; for the deeper emotions we
can’t understand.
For the lessons we learn from the trials we face; for these simple gifts, we give simple praise.
The heart of the Giver, the hand of the One from whom ev’ry blessing of living has come; for measureless mercy and
limitless grace, for these simple gifts we give simple praise.

Wow! Your photography is great! I especially love the rose pictures, particularly that first one is like SO awesome - so beautiful! Btw .... if you don't mind my asking, what kind of camera do you use? I noticed it looked like it was a Canon? Thanks! Keep up the good work!

Elizabeth,
What a beautiful blog!! Thank you for commenting on my blog! In response to your comment, I really do love old houses, so full of beauty and intrigue! We live in a 1950's house built by my great-grandparents, so there are plenty of stories, but no intrigue as far as we know:). My great-grandma's house is for sale in Pennsylvania, it is pre-revolution, and has beauty buried beneath years of wear and tear. I really wish that someone would come along and restore that old beauty, I would love to live closer, and to have millions of dollars at my disposal to fully restore that old house!
Your photography is just beautiful! Keep loving old houses!
In His Constant Care,
Hannah
