You can have all this world...

 Tuesday, October 27, 2009

In this life, it is so easy for me to become attached to the things that are temporal that I soon get my focus of off Christ and onto what I think the world might hold for me. I know that my Christian perspective is distorted when I think that way and I know there is no earthly satisfaction unless Christ is at the center of my life. The beautiful song "Give Me Jesus" is what I would call my life's "song", It tells of what I long for my life to be. You can have ALL this world, but give me Jesus!

Give Me Jesus

In the morning, when I rise
In the morning, when I rise
In the morning, when I rise, give me Jesus

Give me Jesus,
Give me Jesus
,
You can have all this world,
But give me Jesus

When I am alone
When I am alone
When I am alone, give me Jesus

Give me Jesus,
Give me Jesus
,
You can have all this world,
But give me Jesus

When I come to die
When I come to die
When I come to die, give me Jesus

Give me Jesus,
Give me Jesus
,
You can have all this world,
You can have all this world,
You can have all this world,
But give me Jesus

I agree with you. It is so easy for me to get attached to the things of the world, that I forget about Jesus.

I remember singing this song in church before. I used to have one of Jeremy Camp's CD.

What a beautiful life song! It's lyrics are so inspiring and make you really realize the priceless gift we have in Jesus. We are so blessed to know Him.

Wow! That's amazing! The sad thing is, at least in my life, it's so easy to say that, but yet so much harder to actually do that.
