A list of my favorite movies
Friday, January 21, 2011
Frigid winter night and icy weekends sometimes call for popping popcorn and watching a movie with your family. I thought perhaps you wouldn't mind if I shared a list of some of my favorite movies. While there are many more titles I could share decided to pick the ones that my family and I watch most often. Feel welcome to drop a comment to share the names of some of your favorite movies.
The great for family viewing category.
1. Mr. Bean's Holiday (in my family it's a tradition that we watch this movie on New Year's Eve)
2. How to Train Your Dragon
3. Secretariat (get your DVD on January the 25th!)
The great for girls and there moms category:
1. The Young Victoria (I don't recommend this film for children under the age of 13)
2. Pride and Prejudice (the 1995, 2003, and 2005 versions)
3. Letters to Juliet (I do not recommend this film for children under the age of 13)

4. Tangled (get it when it's released on DVD)
Mini-series and miscellanious category:
1. Emma (BBC 2009) Best Emma adaptation EVER!!
2. Little Dorrit

3. North and South (BBC 2006)
4. The Ultimate Gift
5. Bleak House
There are many others I could mention but I think that is enough for now. Maybe sometime I will share a list of my favorite old movies with you. Have a wonderful weekend and be sure to let me know if you tried any of the movies on my list.

What a great list! I love: The Young Victoria, all Pride and Prejudice versions, Emma 2009 - Best EVER I agree!!, Little Dorrit, North and South, The Ultimate Gift, Bleak House!
I want to see: How to Train Your Dragon, Letters to Juliet and Tangled.
I've tried watching a Mr. Bean movie before but just don't get the humor. This is odd because I enjoy all manner of British comedies but Mr. Bean is just a little over the top for me.
I've seen How to Train Your Dragon, Mr. Bean's Holdiday, and Tangled and they are all awesome movies! :) I'll check some of the other movies out. Thanks!
I LOVE Mr. Bean's Holiday!
Hello there!
I found my way to your blog through a link on The Silent Wanderings (ForeverFan's blog). I hope you don't mind me commenting--I just wanted to say that you have a beautiful blog! :)
Hmm, nearly every movie on your list is a favorite, especially the period dramas. They're the perfect rainy-day films.
Anyway, I had a lovely time reading through your posts and I'm looking forward to more!
Blessings,
Malkah
